    Extension of electrical cable (up to 1 metre) at the hot water system as required
    Installation of a new local isolator switch for safety and compliance
    Installation of a new RCBO safety switch at the switchboard
    This upgrade is designed for systems that require additional electrical work beyond a standard like-for-like reconnection. Please see our FAQ section below to find out when this upgrade is necessary.

    All items in the Base Install (Full Gold Upgrade) Package
    Cap off and decommission of gas system where required
    Installation of a new dedicated electrical circuit (up to 10 m from the hot water system to the switchboard)
    Full connection and commissioning of the new electric or heat pump system in the same location as the existing gas unit
    Testing and certification for electrical and plumbing compliance
    Please note: Final quoting will confirm any additional electrical costs if a longer or more complex cable run is required.

What is the process when purchasing a hot water system online?

When is an electrical upgrade needed?
An electrical upgrade is required if your existing hot water system’s wiring doesn’t reach the new unit location, if your current supply is undersized for a modern heat pump, or if your switchboard still uses old-style fuses instead of safety switches. In these cases, new cabling, an isolator switch and a safety switch (RCBO) are installed to ensure the system meets today’s electrical and safety standards.

Why a full upgrade is required
When installing a new hot water system, the plumbing must be brought up to current Australian Standards to ensure the installation is safe, compliant, and eligible for warranty. A full upgrade typically involves replacing valves, drain lines, and pipework insulation, and making sure the system meets pressure and temperature safety requirements.
In Queensland, plumbers are required to submit a QBCC Form 4 for every hot water installation. This certifies that the work complies with the Plumbing and Drainage Act. Without these upgrades, the new system may not be covered by the manufacturer’s warranty, and safety devices designed to protect against scalding or excess pressure may not function correctly.

we had a leak late in the day rang  and told them and I told them it was okay to wait till morning as I could turn the water off for the night arrived 7.30 am as promised and had to locate the pipe in the wall  cut it at both ends replaced the bad section after cutting a neat hole in the plaster fixed and gone after just over an hour and a half cleaned up before they left pleasant men
